I'm a 16 year old HIV/AIDS educator in Staten Island, New York. Without the inspiration that you're music and spirit has given me, I would have let the hopelessness and frustration overtake me. As a writer, I use my words to express my deepest feelings... yet, I find myself speechless on how to tell you how much you have affected me. I will be forever in debt and will go on to "not change the world, but change the world within me". Thank you.

Bono - I am no one really, just the every day person that struggles in paying my bills etc., and that has always loved your music. I was shocked to hear how big the problem is over in Africa. Here in Australia we have a problem as well where our Aboriginal people don’t have access to running water and I am Aboriginal. When we bring the issue's to our government, they seem to think we get enough from them. But I liked your interview with Oprah. Bono, I have not got $1000 US and that’s almost $2000 Australian, and I am only on $10,000 a year. But why don’t you make it so us poorer people can help by setting up something for us to help, That $10 movie a week you were talking about - I would cancel my $10.00 week video spending to go towards a fund for Africa. But you, could you please set something up for us poorer people so we can help?
I have done things like this before when we needed a helicopter for our SES people, and I would do it for your work with Africa.
