Dear Bono,
We couldn't buy you peace on earth but we could send some good will to those you care so passionately about it Africa. Being able to give wells in your honor through Africare feels like a gift to me too. We in America owe you so much for helping us to be better citizens of the world, sharing the burden with those less fortunate. Our nation has had so many opportunities to do better and we let fear, greed and politics determine how we act. We will keep the pressure on those in government but please DON'T GO AWAY. Being a "struggling" single-mom, I could not contribute much, but am happy to give what I can. If I can provide the "necessities" for my child, I can find a way to spare a little extra for those "struggling" moms who can't.
The gift of clean water is truly a great gift!
