Last time I saw you, we were waving the white flags in the land of the midnight sun. I'd like to assure you, that VertiGothenburg//2005 was a really special moment for U2's Swedish fans - maybe your best concert here ever.

Which is as good a proof as anything that there's nothing bad to be said about people getting older - not even rock stars. The next time I'll see you (Honolulu?) we will both be a year older and hopefully we're going to have the time of our life, not despite but because of that. First it was One, then the Night Walkers piece on Oprah. I went to bed haunted with the notion that those kids were walking as my kids slept upstairs well, feed, clothed. Today I checked the U2 fan site and here was Africa again.
Thank Allie also for the endless work she does with the Chernobyl work. My family escaped from Hungary during the 1956 revolution but other family members stayed and endured communism. Two of those aunts died suddenly and very young and it all points to Chernobyl.

U2 and Bono have been part of the soundtrack of my life and I finally got to experience myself my first U2 concert in Cleveland, OH in December, 2005. I was looking forward to it for so long-years-because I had missed out on other tours. I was not let down. I was blown away-It truly was a magical night. The Vertigo Album meant much to me this past year, since I too lost my father suddenly at 62, in Dec 2004. Your album help me feel some of my inner deep emotions and still is. My father was a really true lover of music. He loved Elvis, Rock N Roll & Blues and also Rap sometimes :). He taught me many things but the most important one was is Love of music and Peace. You truly inspire great emotions of love when I see or hear you and your band. I feel sometimes like a teen even if I'm 2X that age :). I saw your concert in November in Montreal, and that night will always be in my memory until my last days. I particurlarly liked the video of a man walking alone...
Your actions also inspire me. I wrote to many of my political representatives to make them increase the help to Africa even if Paul MArtin let us down this time... We will make a difference the more we are and the more we do!

I had the opportunity of attending the U2 show in Cleveland, OH on December 10, 2005. It was an awesome time- and I was wearing my ONE bracelet.

Thank you for never tiring of doing good for the benefit of "the least of these". I am proud of you for taking your platform as a celebrity and choosing to use it in the way you have. Continue to stay in the Word and your heart will stay tender. As with each of us, it is so hard to put aside our selfish desires and to have the mind of Christ. Keep on keeping on the narrow path.
