African Well Fund - Building Hope One Well At A Time

AWF Travels to Africa in September

African Well Fund board members Angela Martens and Rob Trigalet will be traveling to Africa this fall to visit some of the AWF funded well projects there. They will travel to the Ntungamo District of Uganda where they will have a chance to see firsthand the water projects made possible by our donors. They will be accompanied by filmmaker Steve Buckwalter, who will be chronicling the trip for a future documentary.

AWF sponsored two separate water projects in Uganda in 2003 and in 2004. The projects were funded largely by donations to the first and second annual “Build a Well for Bono’s Birthday" fundraisers. AWF is grateful to have the opportunity to bring our donors firsthand accounts of how their donations are making a difference in the lives of the people in the communities where the projects are located.

The trip, which is being funded privately - no donations to AWF will be used, will be the first time that AWF has traveled to Africa and plans are being made for a blog of the journey. Watch this space for more details in the coming weeks.
