Angola project pictures are here!

AWF has received an update on the projects in Angola.

Angola is the recipient country for AWF funded water projects in 2005. Only 38% of the people in Angola have access to clean water. This project was part of the Bono birthday fundraiser from last year.

UPDATE 4/24: Photo Auction Raises Over $11,000!

The U2 photo auction ended this morning and it was a resounding success! Over $11,000 was raised for this year's Build a Well for Bono's Birthday fundraiser.

The African Well Fund would like to express our sincere appreciation to all those who made this auction happen:
Phil Romans, Ruth Barohn, Otto Kitsinger, Mike Kurman, Sherry Lawrence, Matthias Muehlbradt, Jim Rinaldi, Babette Ross, Lynelle Trigalet, Henry Wagner and Rob Wanenchak.

We would also like to thank all those who bid on the photos, your generosity is astounding! The Birthday campaign continues until May 6th. If you made a bid on a photo but did not win the auction, please consider making a donation to the fundraiser anyway. Click here for more information.

Check back soon for updates on the Zimbabwe project that these donations will fund and for the final totals for this year's fundraiser.

Photo Auction Underway! Updated 4/21

4/21 Update: With just 3 days to go the auction has surpassed the $2000 mark!

The U2 concert photo auction kicked off yesterday morning and is off to a roaring start! Only 2 days into the 7 day auction and already over $1000 has been raised! There are still plenty of photos to bid on in every price range.

U2 Photo Auction coming up soon!

Another one-two punch for Bono’s birthday.

In addition to our donation drive (which is well underway), we are offering U2 fans a chance to bid on some great photos of recent tours, including many from Vertigo. 100% of the proceeds of this auction will go towards building water projects in Zimbabwe this year. Be sure to visit our auction page on eBAY. The auction begins on April 17th. Set your calendars and happy bidding.
