AWF's 2009 Annual Report is now available for viewing & download here.

Members of the African Well Fund's board of directors will be attending The Africare Bishop John T. Walker Memorial Dinner on Friday, Nov. 5 at the National Building Museum in Washington DC. AWF supporters are invited to purchase tickets and join us at the AWF table for this event. This year's dinner will honor Nelson Mandela for his lifetime of achievements to South Africa and the world, and will celebrate Africare's 40 years of partnership with African communities. His Excellency is not expected to attend the event.

Attending this event will give AWF supporters the opportunity to learn firsthand about the work Africare, the organization that implements AWF-funded projects, has done in Africa for the past 40 years. All proceeds from the Bishop Walker Memorial Dinner, the nation's largest annual fundraising event for Africa, will benefit Africare. Individual tickets for the dinner are $250 and a portion of the ticket price is tax-deductible.

If you're interested in attending the dinner and joining the AWF table, please contact AWF Board Vice Chairman Diane Yoder at dyoder@africanwellfund.org by Oct. 22.

This summer, Diane Yoder, African Well Fund's board vice chairman, filmed a segment about the founding of AWF during Mutual of Omaha's 2010 aha moment tour. That video has been available online since July and is now in the running to be used in Mutual of Omaha's nationwide TV ad campaign in 2011.

Between now and Oct. 15, visit www.ahamoment.com/vote/diane to see the video and vote for it. You can place one vote per video. The top 25 vote-getters will move into the second round of voting, which runs Oct. 18 through Oct. 31. The top 10 vote-getters from the second round will be featured in Mutual of Omaha's 2011 national TV ad campaign.

After you've placed your vote, please spread the word to your family and friends. National exposure for the African Well Fund will help provide even more people in sub-Saharan Africa with access to clean water and sanitation.

Thank you so much for your support!
