AWF is excited to announce that for the second year in a row we have been chosen as a beneficiary of the inTO the Heart U2 fan Festival to be held in Toronto Nov. 1 – 3rd.

inTO the Heart is the annual, international U2 fan festival by the fans - for the fans! The vibe is squarely on entertainment, fun and partying among those with a shared passion for U2's music and spirit. For more details, hotel info and photos please visit http://www.intotheheart.com

AWF is honored to have been chosen as the recipient of this year’s proceeds (AWF was launched from within from the U2 fan community and these fans remain an important bedrock of support, raising over $100,000 through our annual ‘Build a Well for Bono’s Birthday’ campaigns.

The funds donated from into the Heart will be used to help fund a well project in Guinea. The need for clean water projects there is profound with more than 60 % of the population lacking access to a clean water source. Four new wells will be built and two non-functional wells will be rehabilitated in Bong county, serving a population of more than 15,000. These wells will have a significant impact on the lives of the people in this community.

Four Los Angeles-area indie bands are performing at 7 p.m. on October 25th at Tangier Restaurant as part of Indie Springs: Hope Is Eternal, a benefit for the African Well Fund. The show features sets by DJ Jon Hershfield, Michael Harris, Matt Ellis, Al's Peace, and Jason Heath & The Greedy Souls.

Tickets are available with a donation of $10. A T-shirt is available for donations over $50. Event organizers are hoping to collect $3,000.

Tangier and the performers have donated their time so all proceeds from the event are going to the African Well Fund.
