The African Well Fund invites you to come out in celebration of World Environment Day on June 4. The event will be held from noon until 4 p.m. at Chain Reaction, Southern California’s coolest all-ages venue, and will feature a live as well as a silent auction.

The event will also feature speakers from DATA and Invisible Children. Chain Reaction (www.allages.com) is located at 1652 W. Lincoln Ave. Anaheim, Calif., 92801. The African Well Fund is asking for $10 donations at the door. Parking is free and refreshments will be served. Additional entertainment is to be announced.

The Yate Fairtrade team decided to take an AWF sponsored walk one step further. On May 30, the Bristol, UK area team is walking 10 Miles to to Horton, UK, carrying buckets of water along with them.

Zoo Station, a Bay Area U2 tribute band, will be playing a benefit concert for the African Well Fund on May 20th at the Last Day Saloon located at 406 Clement, San Francisco, CA. Net proceeds from the show will be donated to the African Well Fund and will be used to fund water projects in Africa.

Doors open and 8:00 p.m. and tickets are $12. Tickets may be purchased at the door. For advance ticket information, please visit http://www.zoostation-online.com/ . Opening for Zoo Station will be STUNG, a Police tribute band. An opportunity drawing for a U2 iPod is also planned for the evening. More details on the evening will be posted when they become available.
